Dr David Huy Tran
Cardiologist
Dr David Huy Tran completed his medical training in Australia, graduating with an undergraduate B.App.Sc and post graduate MBBS at the University of Sydney. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, completing his physicians training at St. Vincent's Hospital in Sydney and advanced cardiology training at Gosford Hospital. He completed his Masters of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) at the University of Sydney.
Dr Tran has undergone further subspecialty training, completing a two year fellowship in advanced cardiac imaging (echocardiography, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI) at Liverpool Hospital.
Dr Tran is involved in reporting cardiac imaging, including cardiac CT for radiology practices in Sydney.
He is affiliated with Liverpool Hospital in Sydney South West, as well as Sydney South West Private Hospital.
He also has a strong interest in preventative cardiology, ischaemic heart disease, valvular heart disease, heart failure and arrhythmias.
Dr Tran is fluent in English and Vietnamese.

Dr Daniel Wong
Geriatrician
Dr. Wong is a compassionate and experienced geriatrician dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults. Specializing in the comprehensive care of aging populations, Dr. Wong focuses on the unique medical, functional, and emotional needs of elderly patients, ensuring they maintain their independence and dignity as they age.
With expertise in managing complex health conditions, including dementia, frailty, and multiple chronic illnesses,
Dr. Wong also works as a staff Specialist at St George Hospital.
Dr Wong consults in English and Cantonese.

Dr Viet Dang
Cardiologist
Dr Dang is a highly skilled interventional cardiologist dedicated to providing advanced, patient-centered care. With specialized training in diagnosing and treating complex cardiovascular conditions, Dr. Dang utilizes minimally invasive procedures such as angioplasty and stent placement to restore heart health and improve patient outcomes.
Dr Dang completed his medical degree, physicians training and cardiology training locally at the University of Western Sydney and Liverpool Hospital. Dr Dang has completed a further 2 years of subspecialty training in coronary intervention/structural cardiac intervention.
Dr. Dang is committed to integrating the latest medical technologies and evidence-based practices into their care approach, ensuring optimal results for every patient.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Dang is actively involved in research and continuing education currently engaged in the research and publication of his Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD).

Dr Sylvia Ledang
Director of Cardiac & Medical Services
Dr Sylvia Ledang completed her medical training in Australia graduating with an MBBS from the University of NSW. She has broad experience in multiple medical, surgical and paediatric specialities. She subsequently spent 3 years sub-specializing as an advanced trainee with the Radiation Oncology Department at the Westmead Hospital cancer Therapy services.
Dr Sylvia Ledang has been with Heart Care Specialist Centre for over 5 years now and balances her time between running the ECG/Holter monitoring service and administrative roles.
Dr Ledang is fluent in English and Vietnamese

Dr Sophia Wong
Cardiologist
Dr Sophia Wong is a highly skilled general and interventional cardiologist. She manages all aspects of cardiovascular care, and looks after patients with chest pain, valve disease, heart failure, and other complex cardiovascular conditions. She performs non-invasive investigations such as echocardiograms and stress testing, as well as minimally invasive procedures (angiography and stenting) to restore heart health and quality of life.
Dr Wong believes that exceptional medical care goes beyond technical expertise. She takes the time to truly understand her patients’ concerns. Whether explaining a diagnosis, discussing treatment plans or offering reassurance, she communicates clearly and compassionately to ensure her patients feel heard, valued and informed about their treatment options.
Dr Wong’s journey in medicine has been driven by a deep curiosity and commitment to excellence. She has trained and worked in major medical institutions both locally and abroad. Some of these institutions include the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, UK. Her meticulous approach to procedures, combined with her emphasis on patient education and shared decision-making, ensures the best possible outcomes for those under her care.
